Biography
From a Wexford farm town to AI for small business
Laurence Banville grew up in Ballykerogue, County Wexford, the son of a tradesman who could build, wire and farm, and of a mother whose workplace injury case was his first look at how the law works for ordinary families. He studied Business and Legal Studies at University College Dublin, graduating with first-class honors in 2008, spent an Erasmus year at the Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium taking classes in French, and received the UCD President’s Award for Excellence in Student Activities in 2007. He also co-founded his first business, a campus marketing company, while still a student.
He moved to the United States, passed the New York bar in 2009 and practiced products liability defense litigation in the Philadelphia area. In 2010 he went back to marketing and co-founded AG Conexus, an internet marketing agency for personal injury and mass tort law firms, which he grew and sold in 2018. He became Managing Partner of Banville Law, a New York personal injury firm, in 2015, and was admitted to the Washington, D.C. bar in 2016. He is also a partner at LPB Law Group in Pennsylvania, which operates as Abuse Guardians.
Outside the firms, Laurence built and sold an HVAC company to private capital. Today his main focus is AI consulting for small businesses: finding where AI pays in owner-run companies, then building the tools, from custom AI software and automation to AI-ready websites. He also advises on marketing and is launching Legacy Launch Brokers to help owners sell their companies. He calls his way of looking at a business or a deal through law, marketing, finance, operations and AI at once The Whole-Board Method. With his wife, Brooke, he also runs BanVoyage, a family travel review site.
