BanVoyage is the travel review site from Brooke and Laurence Banville. Every review is a place the family stayed themselves, every room tour is the room they slept in, and every price is what they actually paid. Brand facts
Most family travel content is written from press photos and brochures. BanVoyage only reviews trips the Banvilles took themselves, with their own photos and video. The room tours answer the question parents actually search for before booking: which bed does each person sleep in, and does it work for a family of four?
BanVoyage is an independent review site. It doesn’t sell trips or book travel. Some pages carry affiliate links, which are disclosed on the page and in the site’s affiliate disclosure. A commission never changes a review or a rating.
The people behind it
Co-founder, filmmaker and lead writer
Brooke films the room tours and writes most of BanVoyage, starting from her own notes on each trip. She is a Certified Public Accountant who spent 17 years in finance at Ernst & Young, Qlik and SAP, and she reviews a trip the way an auditor would: what it really cost, what the fine print says, and whether the room matches the listing. She studied accounting at Temple University’s Fox School of Business.
Co-founder, business and technology
Laurence runs the business side of BanVoyage: the website, the technology and the travel gear. Born and raised in County Wexford, Ireland, he studied business and law at University College Dublin, with a year at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. He is an attorney licensed in New York and Washington, D.C., Managing Partner of Banville Law, and an entrepreneur and digital marketer.
What we cover
The first full trip on BanVoyage is the family’s November 2025 visit to Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland: four nights at Apukka Resort, husky and reindeer rides, Santa Claus Village, SantaPark and the northern lights. The Lapland trip guide earned an overall BanVoyage Rating of 4.5 out of 5.
